Here’s a variation of my 2018 Christmas card … just a slightly different take on the scene.
Card of Christmas Present 2018
Card of Christmas Future 2018
This year’s card shipped a couple days ago. Head to http://cards.chris-emerson.com for the usual stuff: final artwork, card notes, related sketches and the always cool time-lapse making-of video.
The printed cards have finally shipped out so it’s probably safe to share the digital version now. Head over to http://cards.chris-emerson.com for more detail about this year’s card, related sketches and artwork and a really cool time-lapse video.
As always – if you usually get a paper version in the mail and haven’t gotten one yet feel free to wait for that before checking out the online version. And to those who didn’t get a paper version please know it’s only because I either forgot, ran out of time/materials or simply don’t like you anymore … but usually not the latter. 🙂
Here’s a sneak peak at this year’s Christmas Card which is shipping out in a few days! This is the main sketch idea – and yes, I know, there are no kids in it … I’ll explain when the card website gets updated for 2014 in a few days. Stay tuned!
This year’s Christmas cards shipped out a couple days ago so I guess it’s safe to send out a link to the digital version now. I changed my mind on where to host them so they’re back at a (slightly updated) standalone website now. Head over to this site for card notes, related artwork and the time lapse video: http://cards.chris-emerson.com.

Season’s greetings everyone!
Click the card to visit the official card site to see details and sketches for this year’s card!
For all 3 of you who care – the latest card is now online along with a handful of sketches, line art and some Photoshop free-frames. Swing by to take a look here! Remember, if you got a card but haven’t opened it yet, don’t visit the website yet! The actual physical card gives a much better first-impression!
Well – after a few hours of battle between Office 2007 and my printer, I finally this year’s Christmas card envelopes to all print out! So it’s late and I will be cranky tommorw but it feels good to finally have all the cards packaged up and ready to mail!
For a special treat, I’m going to reveal the core sketch here in the blog. I don’t think it spoils much because the actual card is obviously quite different than the sketch – so this will serve as an appetizer of sorts! Plus, I don’t think many people go visit the http://cards.chris-emerson.com where I do the behind the scenes stuff so I’m trying it out here. If you want my commentary, shout-outs, etc you’ll have to wait for the cards.chris-emerson.com site to get updated (after Christmas!). Anyhow – here’s the sketch!
